Christopher D. Cimino

Current Role
As Managing Director of Portfolio Management, Mr. Cimino works closely with clients to develop and execute asset investment strategies for distressed debt acquisition, including due diligence, portfolio oversight and direct asset management, workout and liquidation. He formerly managed Cohen Financial’s Asset Management team, including Credit Administration and Special Servicing functions. These groups manage all activities related to the performance, risk management and credit aspects of the asset and underlying collateral, in addition to administering borrower requests for lender consent, and resolution of sub-performing or non-performing assets, including repositioning and liquidating REO property. Mr. Cimino is a member of the Risk Management Committee and reports to Joe Greenhaw, Executive Vice President of Loan Administration.

Past Experience
Over 25 years of commercial and residential real estate finance and loan workout experience, the last 15 years in the CMBS and Small Balance Commercial arenas.
Prior to joining Cohen Financial, Mr. Cimino worked with Midland Loan Services and Key Bank Real Estate Capital as a senior member of each firm’s CMBS Asset Management and Special Servicing groups. He previously managed the FDIC contract with Oxford Financial Services to service, liquidate and market Small Balance Assets assigned from regional FDIC offices. Chris also participated in Oxford’s contract with the RTC providing advisory services and valuation for timeshare and vacation real estate realized from failed savings and loan thrifts.
