Current Role

As the Director of Loan Operations, Jeff is responsible for overseeing a team of loan administrators. These professionals perform all aspects of the core loan servicing activities, including: loan conversion; payment processing; loan and lockbox administration; tax and insurance escrow administration; reserve administration; pay-off processing; collections, watch list monitoring, and customer service. Jeff reports to Dean Wheeler, Executive Vice President, Loan Administration.

Past Experience

Over 24 years of commercial real estate finance experience

Prior to joining Cohen Financial, Jeff served as director of structured finance at Fitch Ratings where he performed on-site CMBS servicer reviews for over 19 commercial loan servicers. Jeff also performed annual reviews for CMBS transactions and published industry commentary on various topics.

Jeff also spent more than 15 years at Midland Loan Services in various roles with increasing responsibility in the areas of conversions, modifications, portfolio servicing, surveillance, and account management, most recently as vice president of CMBS surveillance and account management.  Jeff handled three of the most active CMBS and third-party loan servicing clients, and was responsible for negotiating agreements and loan documents, supporting borrower requests, and serving as a single point of contact for clients.
